Tierpark Senftenberg zoo was founded in June 1931. Within the well-kept park with its enclosures, aviaries and buildings, domestic sheep breeds, domestic pigs and alpacas are kept and bred in the traditional manner. The dwarf goats and sheep in the petting zoo and the horses are especially popular with the children. Besides caracals, coatis and raccoons, parakeets, peacocks and water fowl round off the picture. Visitors can take part in guided tours of the zoo and animal feedings for an extra charge. The bistro serves snacks and more substantial meals.

Dogs at Senftenberg Zoo

Senftenberg Zoo is a popular destination for families and nature lovers. Dogs are allowed on a leash, and the staff are well prepared for visitors and their needs. The zoo has a wide variety of animals and also offers the opportunity to take part in zoo tours and animal feeding. Visitors praise the well-maintained enclosures and the friendliness of the animals.
