The village church was rebuilt under the patronage of King Frederick I (1657-1713) in 1709. The only evidence of the medieval predecessor structure are the field stones in the tower base, which can be seen from the inside, and the outer wall of the east gable. The tower, built in 1740, was given an ochre-coloured finish  to cover the half-timbered construction and to give the impression of a solid plastered building. As early as 1774 the tower was fitted with the tiled roof which remains a characteristic feature to this day. In the same year, the half-timbered building was covered with an outer shell of plastered brick masonry.

The unelaborate interior features a large chancel. The furnishings donated by the patron – the late Baroque pulpit above the altar table and opposite it the early classicist organ case – illustrate the purpose of the room as intended by Frederick I: a proclamation of faith and a vehicle of praise-giving.

An extensive renovation of the village church was carried out in 1930/31, largely financed by Berlin industrialist Carl Friedrich von Siemens (1872-1941), who was new to Fahrland at the time.

The old vicarage was located directly on the road. The two large lime trees that still stand today marked the entrance. The vicarage was demolished in 1884 and replaced with a new building in the Mark Brandenburg brick style.
