The largest new church building in Potsdam was consecrated in the Kirchsteigfeld district in 1997. Architect Augusto Burelli created an ecumenical church centre with parish rooms and offices that enclose an inner courtyard. The solar cell covered bell tower located directly above the altar (height: 41 metres), which also serves as a light shaft for the chancel, shows parallels to Sternkirche and the Catholic St. Antony’s Church in Babelsberg
