Series fans will certainly remember Claire Danes in "Homeland". In the 5th season of the US series, which was produced entirely in Brandenburg and Berlin, the Dutch Quarter in Potsdam simply became Amsterdam. An easy job for the set builders. All they had to do was paste over a few street signs on the houses from the mid-18th century. Prussian King Frederick William I once had the neighbourhood built for Dutch craftsmen whom he had recruited to expand the garrison city of Potsdam into Prussia.

While the first four seasons of "Homeland", centred around CIA analyst Carrie Mathison, were mainly filmed on the US East Coast in North Carolina, the fifth series moved to Studio Babelsberg in Potsdam, Brandenburg, at the end of 2015.
