Since Lidiya Kwaschny was a child she was always interested in painting. After successfully finishing her studies of art at the educational university in Semei she moved to Riga and started her first exhibition. At that time she preferred painting town views. Her freedom as an artist started in 2001 when she opened her own studio in Werder (Brandenburg). Beside painting, Lidiya Kwaschny works as restorer. Since 2004 she lives and works in Potsdam and runs her own studio and galery. The historical buildings and monuments in Potsdam form the models for her very special works.
