The Heidehaus was built in the typical style of Babelsberg weavers´ houses in 1870. It served as a residence, but was also used by carters as an inn. The little house next to the Heidesiedlung neighbourhood stood dilapidated by the roadside for 30 years. It has been renovated and reopened as a neighbourhood meeting spot in October 2021. The Heidehaus is run with the involvement of interested persons, with their ideas and their joint contribution. The sponsor of Heidehaus (heather house) is Interlog e.V. The members of the association have been campaigning for community care and participation processes in the neighbourhood for years.

The Heidehaus is barrier-free and provides a toilet for disabled persons.

The location can also be hired for private celebrations, external educational offers or internal group meetings.
