There is no doubt: Potsdam’s raft station is one of the most popular starting points for a Huckleberry raft tour. Situated at the art and cultural quarter Schiffbauergasse, this raft station represents the ideal starting point not just for day trips, but also for a short multi-day holiday adventure. Being centrally located and easily accessible by public transportation, this station offers the ideal requirements for a raft adventure on the waters of Potsdam’s Havel Lakes. Nowhere else you find world famous cultural heritage this close to unspoiled nature. The area offers a combination of boating, cultural, and city holidays. The water reflects Prussia’s history, art, and culture. Emperors and kings, but also other rich and famous, film stars and architects have left their marks. From the water you have an extraordinary view of castles, parks, and villas.

Upstream, just behind Glienicke Bridge and after crossing Lake Jungfernsee, places such as Lake Krampnitzsee or off the western shore of Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island) provide excellent and quiet spots for anchoring and spending the night. Downstream you will pass the historic city centre of Potsdam and cruise the Havel River through a lake chain comprising Templiner See, Petzinsee, and Schwielowsee. Overnight mooring is possible at Glindower See. This lake is one of the cleanest lakes in Brandenburg and situated in the immediate vicinity of the “Blütenstadt” Werder/ Havel. Various resting spots and camp sites as well as numerous waterfront restaurants invite visitors to take a break.
Traffic on Potsdam’s Havel waters is becoming increasingly busy on weekends. A raft tour during the week is more relaxing and enjoyable.
Our rafts are technically certificated and approved for up to eight passengers. They are equipped with a motor, qualified for licence-free use, and have a waterproof cabin measuring 1.55 metres in height. Side covers with windows can be rolled up.
There are several groceries nearby (Netto, Lidl, BioCompany, and Aldi); parking spaces are available at the local car park (fee required).
