The fourth stage of the Tour Brandenburg extends 73 kilometres from Wittenberge to Perleberg. The tour first passes through the Elbe-Brandenburg River Landscape Biosphere Reserve. The tour heads inland in the small town of Lenzen on the River Elbe. It continues via Mankmuß to historic Perleberg.

How to get there: From Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof), take the EC174 Euro City train (Hamburg Altona) to Wittenberge (about one hour).

Return journey: From Perleberg, take the RE6 (rapid transit train) to Wittenberge. From here, take the EC179 Euro City train (Prague) to Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) (about one hour).

Route: Wittenberge, Cumlosen, Lenzen, Boberow bei Perleberg, Mankmuß, Laaslich, Dergenthin, Sükow, Quitzow, Perleberg

Sights:
  • Wittenberge: Town Hall, Heisterbusch district, "Alte Burg” Local History Museum, Steintor Gate, "Zeitreise” sculpture, Old Oil Mill, clock tower, historic locomotive shed

Possible combinations: Castle Park, Elbe-Brandenburg River Landscape Biosphere Reserve - Lenzen Castle visitor centre

  • Bird watching hides on Rambow Moor
  • Perleberg: GDR History Museum, town wall, Local History and Regional Museum, Town Hall, High School, wildlife park, Vintage Car and Technology Museum, wall building, "Der Hagen” Park, Jewish quarter, Perleberg Roland statue, Schuhmarkt, House at Großer Markt No. 4, St. Jacobikirche Church
