The fifth stage of the Tour Brandenburg extends 60 kilometres from Perleberg to Wittstock (Dosse). The tour connects the two historic town centres of Perleberg and Wittstock. There are other highlights, including the Königsgrab Bronze Age tomb in Seddin and the Monastery in Heiligengrabe, as you pass through the Prignitz region.

Finish: Wittstock (Dosse)

How to get there: From Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof), take the EC176 Euro City train (Hamburg-Altona) to Wittenberge. From here take the RE6 (rapid transit train) (Berlin Gesundbrunnen) to Perleberg (about one hour).

Return journey: From Wittstock (Dosse), take the RE6 (rapid transit train) (Berlin Gesundbrunnen) to Jungfernheide. From here, continue on the RE4 (rapid transit train) (Jüterbog) to Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) (about two hours).

Route: Perleberg, Groß Linde, Seddin, Wolfshagen, Helle, Schönhagen, Pritzwalk, Streckenthin, Sadenbeck, Neu Krüssow, Willmersdorf, Heiligengrabe, Wittstock (Dosse)

  • Perleberg: GDR History Museum, town wall, Local History and Regional Museum, Town Hall, High School, wildlife park, Vintage Car and Technology Museum, Wall building, "Der Hagen” Park, Jewish quarter, Perleberg Roland statue, Schuhmarkt, House at Großer Markt No. 4, St. Jacobikirche Church
  • Wolfshagen: Palace Museum
  • Pritzwalk: Stadtkirche St. Nikolai Church, Town Hall, cloth factory, Local History and Brewery Museum
  • Heiligengrabe: Monastery, Monastery Church
  • Wittstock (Dosse): Stadtkirche St. Marien Church, Alte Bischofsburg Castle
