This bicycle tour takes you right across the Elbe-Brandenburg River Landscape Biosphere Reserve through the historic town centres of Lenzen and Perleberg. Start your bicycle tour in Wittenberge, the Prignitz town on the River Elbe. The tour continues on to the town of Lenzen, where every fourth house is protected as a individual architectural monument. The old castle and the Elbe water meadows surrounding the town give it a unique charm encouraging you to linger awhile. The finishing point of this day out is the town of Perleberg. The well-preserved historic ensemble of the Old Town with its beautiful town houses, the Town Hall, the St. Jakobi Kirche Church and the Roland statue standing over four metres high, stand within the partially preserved town walls on an island.
