Once upon a time, an old miller lived in the Kattenstieg Mill, not far from Königsberg, whose daughter was so beautiful that her beauty was widely praised. Many young apprentice millers started with the miller to earn her favour. Not a single applicant survived the first night in the mill. Was it the devil making trouble in the mill? A brave son of a miller solved the mystery and married the beautiful miller’s daughter and lived happily with her in the Kattenstieg Mill and satisfied her to her end. The solution to the puzzle is to be found on the route.
