In the Middle Ages, the Wallfahrtskirche Pilgrimage Church was the destination of many pilgrims, as, according to legend, it held a skirt belonging to Saint Anna. With the Reformation, the church lost importance as a place of pilgrimage.

Today, visitors can admire the carved altars and representations of St. Anna from the Annenkirche Church in the Pritzwalk St. Nikolaikirche Church, in the Museum in the Kloster Stift zum Heiligengrabe Monastery and in the Stadtmuseum Berlin local history museum.
