A jetty leads to the headwaters of the River Jäglitz that can be found at the far end of the grounds of a historic rectory (built in the spirit of Weimar Classicism in 1819) with a meadow orchard, donkey enclosure and bible garden.

Extensive drainage took place from 1950 onwards due to major improvement work but there was nothing left of the Erlenbruch stream. In 2007, the renaturation of this small spring fen began on the initiative of an association. Today it is a small biotope worthy of protection, with a wide range of species, which originally included a wealth of orchids (lady's slipper). Wild orchids have become established here today.

Open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Donations are welcome.
