Large fire falters, meadows overflowing with cotton grass, moaning sky goats, mysterious peat bites, dense reed belts and shallow lakes - the Rambower Moor in the Elbe-Brandenburg River Landscape Biosphere Reserve offers a habitat for numerous rare animal and plant species. Hundreds of cranes rest here during the autumn migration. In the evening they majestically circle the moorland, trumpeting loudly, before going to sleep. A twelve-kilometer circular route offers plenty of potential for discovery. Individual stations show the history of man and nature on the moor from two sides, a historical and a current one.
