This small square marks the end of this short town walking tour. The buildings date from different eras. There is a stately three-storey commercial building at the end of the Bäckerstrasse, then more modest houses from the 19th century and the striking half-timbered house at Schuhmarkt No. 1. It was constructed in the 16th century and was used by a merchant with an apartment on the ground floor and storage space on the floors above. In keeping with the historical character of the building, it was renovated for residential purposes.
