The Daberturm Tower is a real magnet for visitors. Visitors are encouraged to discover Wittstock Heath in the exhibition that features many interactive displays. The focus of the exhibition is on the flora and fauna with forest sounds, and exhibits to touch and smell. The tour begins with an impressive presentation of minerals and fossils from the region. A highlight is a unique mushroom model that depicts over 200 different types of mushrooms. Idyllically located on the Daberbach stream, the grounds of the Forestry Office also include a herb and boulder garden as well as an outdoor “Buschback”-style oven. The running and Nordic walking park as well as a model park belonging to the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district are very close by.
