The Elbtalaue Biosphere Reserve is brought to life in the exhibition entitled "Flusslandschaft am Grünen Band" (River Landscape in the Green Belt). Here you can learn background information about the floodplain ecology and flood protection in a fun way using all your senses through the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Elbe-Brandenburg River Landscape and spectacular flooding events.  The LehrReich learning kingdom with a microscope station and multi-touch table is a new addition. Visitors are invited to relax, marvel and participate at the Interactive exhibits and sensory and adventure stations in the castle gardens with its NaturPoesGarten garden, combining nature and poetry, and the AuenReich "floodplain kingdom” where the river meadows are brought to life. Special experiences include the view from the 24 metre high medieval castle tower and a virtual flight on a heron (no disabled access).

The BUND Visitor Centre Burg Lenzen also offers guided tours. Visitors can go by bike or on foot or by boat or canoe to discover the fascinating nature, culture and history of the Elbe river landscape and experience the floodplain wilderness, Rambower Moor or go along the “greenbelt” of the former inner German border, which today is a natural refuge.
