Groß Breese, located between Wittenberge and Bad Wilsnack, is one of the most beautiful street villages in Prignitz. Generously laid out courtyards and an avenue of trees spanning several rows characterize the village image.

The small exhibition in the former school building provides an insight into village life as it took place in Prignitz over 100 years ago.

Here you can see living room and sleeping quarters as well as kitchen utensils, clothing, children's toys, numerous photos and other documents. So z. B to the formerly very colorful club life in the village. Insights into learning in a village school are provided and interesting facts from the life of the famous scientist Christian Ludwig Ideler are conveyed. He was born in Groß Breese in 1766.

In the “Heimaotschüün” numerous exhibits from the farm economy are on display, including a kitchen that is over 100 years old, as well as a small laundry room and farm equipment.

Most of the exhibits are donations or loans from families in the community and the surrounding villages.
