The calm River Havel seems hesitant to flow into the boisterous River Elbe which is why the river decided for the time being to run alongside it from Havelberg onwards. This creates extensive islands from where you can watch the River Elbe on the one side and the River Havel from the other and observe their different natural landscapes. The observation tower offers a good view of the landscape. The benches are the ideal place to take a break and enjoy the nature. A great place between the two rivers.
