The nature stop about the Lennewitzer Eichen hardwood floodplain lies between the idyllic village of Quitzöbel and the dyke on the River Havel or rather the Gnevsdorfer Vorfluter flood channel. You will learn more here about hardwood floodplain forests as distinct from softwood floodplain forests and why Napoleon frequently came to this corner of the Elbe floodplain landscape. The high tower offers a great outlook and views of the Elbe floodplain. The tables and benches are the ideal place for hikes and cyclists to have a picnic.
