The Binnendüne Quitzöbel inland dune with its knobbly pine trees carries this cliché to the extreme and, at the same time, forms an important natural environment for all kinds of interesting specialities. Marvel at the masses of sand here, the smell created when the sun hits the dune, and the large and small plants that thrive under these habitat conditions. The viewing platform serves as a rest area and picnic area.
