The park was designed according to plans drawn up by the court gardener Fink, a student of Lenné, to create an extensive English-style landscape park. Following restoration work in 1997-99 by the landscape gardener Reinhard Schweizer, it now offers a varied backdrop with groups of trees and shrubs, curved paths and pond and lawn areas.
