A narrow path between high hedges follows the sign »Entrance Schlosspark« and leads into a seemingly enchanted world. A still pond in which a magnificent mansion and a long outbuilding are reflected in the morning sun. At the end of the pond, a path lined with oleander bushes meets a wooden bridge that leads over a small watercourse. Appropriately, at the edge of a clearing, there is a – slightly battered – oak tree that can hardly be captured in its entirety in the photo, even with a wide-angle lens. In the furthest corner of the park, hidden between old trees, there is a burial place of the von Winterfeld family. Neuhausen was once an important border point of the Prignitz. Today the park is owned by the municipality. The castle and the former horse stables have been renovated in line with the preservation order and are used for weddings and seminars.
