The over 1000-year old town of Lenzen lies between the River Elbe and Lake Rudower See. It has preserved much of the flair of an old agricultural town on the border of Prignitz. The historic town centre boasts romantic half-timbered houses. Late Gothic paintings have been preserved in the St.-Katharinen-Kirche church. The organ was built in 1759. Opposite the church stands the Stumpfe Turm tower, the remains of the town fortifications. Lenzen town hall was built in 1713. It has a sundial as well as a single hand clock.
