Visitors can find information about the town of Putlitz and the affiliated municipalities in the information centre. Guided tours are available by appointment. In addition, it is also possible to visit the castle cellar and the Kirche St. Nikolai church, the permanent exhibition in the Heimatstube local history parlour – illustrating how people lived in the past – or also to use the open-air swimming pool.

Several regional tours are signposted for cyclists. A landmark of the town is the castle tower, which was renovated in 2004 and has been used as a observation tower since 1889.

There are two parking spaces for camper vans in the immediate vicinity – on the “Jungfernsteg”, a road not far from the Gänseburg Pulitz castle ruins.
