This day tour takes you through the historic town centres of Templin and Gransee through woods. Lake and river landscape of the Uckermark. You start in the town of Templin whose medieval townscape is better preserved than any other in northern Brandenburg. Templin’s most magnificent structure is its town wall. There are no gaps in the 1735-metre long wall which encircles the town and includes gates, towers and gate towers as well as 47 guard houses. The tour finishes in the historic town centre of Gransee. In addition to the fieldstone walls, the powder tower and the guard houses, the magnificent Waldemar gate and the Ruppiner gate (from the 15th century) are well worth seeing. The three-nave Marienkirche church hosts concerts throughout the summer.
