This tour takes you through the three historic town centres of Rheinsberg, Neuruppin and Kremmen, across magnificent flat landscapes, down tree-lined avenues and along wooded riverbank belts. Start off in Rheinsberg with its moated castle and park, immortalised by Kurt Tucholsky in literature as a “picture book for lovers”. The tour continues along the Lakes and Culture Cycle Path to the classicistic town of Neuruppin – the birthplace of both Fontane and Schinkel. The tour leads along the Rhinluch Cycle Path to Kremmen with its market square flanked by town houses and the largest remaining barn district in Germany.
