Rheinsberg is the starting point of this circular tour past picturesque lakes such as Kalksee and Tornowsee, where Boltenmühle mill is located. Theodor Fontane described this mill, which today houses a café and restaurant. The route continues to Stendenitz on the shores of Lake Zermützelsee. Cyclists and hikers will find the more than 100-year-old Waldschenke restaurant here with its large beer garden directly by the lakeside. The next village, Molchow, captivated Fontane with its wooden bell tower in the middle of the village. From here, the circular tour following the yellow markings of the main FONTANE.RAD route via Zippelsförde with its large fish farm back to Rheinsberg.
