Start: Rheinsberg / Finish: Seilershof, Dannenwalde

Directions:

  • by bus and train: Take the RE5 from Berlin-Gesundbrunnen to Löwenberg. From here take the RB54 (Niederbarnim line) to Rheinsberg (approximately 1.5 hours)

  • Car: From Berlin via the A114, A10 and the B96 to Rheinsberg (about 1.5 hours).

Departure:


  • by bus and train: From Seilershof Hauptstr. 28 walk to Dannenwalde train station (approx. 23 min.). Here take the RE5 train in the direction of Berlin and continue to Berlin-Gesundbrunnen.

  • Car: From Seilershof take the B96 in the direction of Oranienburg. From the B96 then take the A111, which then leads into Berlin.

Boat rentals: In Rheinsberg there are several rental providers; in Seilershof, boats are rented out at the campsite.

Route: Rheinsberg, Grienericksee, Großer Rheinsberger See, Schlabornkanal, Schlabornsee, Jagowkanal, Tietzowsee, Großer Prebelowsee, Hüttenkanal, Kleiner Pälitzsee, Strasen, Ellbogensee, Ziernsee, Menowsee, Steinhavel, Röblinsee, Baalensee, Schwedtsee, Havel, Stolpsee, Havel, Großer Wentowsee, Dannenwalde, Kleiner Wentowsee, Seilershof

On-shore outings:

  • Rheinsberg: Palace, Kurt Tucholsky Literature Museum
  • Zechlinerhütte: Alfred Wegener Memorial
  • Fürstenberg/Havel: Brandenburg Forestry Museum, Ravensbrück Memorial
  • Himmelpfort: Monastery Herb Garden, Father Christmas Parlour
  • Regow Lock: Ziegenhof, cheese dairy, bivouac area
  • Dannenwalde: Environmental station, barefoot path

Lake/river profile: Predominantly standing water, light current on the River Havel, easy and continuous navigation, 8 locks, fish-canoe pass in Fürstenberg/Havel, no carrying required.
