A tour through a beautiful lake landscape. Canals and rivers connect the lakes to form an almost endless string of pearls. Pine and beech forests line the shores. Inexperienced paddlers and even families with children will have lots of fun on this paddling route.

Start: Rheinsberg / Finish: Flecken Zechlin

Directions:

  • by train and bus: Take the RE5 from Berlin-Gesundbrunnen to Löwenberg. From here take the RB54 (Niederbarnim line) to Rheinsberg (approximately 1.5 hours)

  • Car: From Berlin via the A114, A10 and the B96 to Rheinsberg (about 1.5 hours).

Departure:


  • by train and bus: Walk from Seestr. 5a about 500m to the bus stop. Take bus 787 in the direction of Neuruppin Rheinsberger Tor station. In Neuruppin, take the RE6 train in the direction of Berlin to continue your journey to Hennigsdorf station. In Hennigsdorf, change to the S-Bahn 25 in the direction of Teltow Stadt. After about 26 minutes driving time, Berlin-Gesundbrunnen is reached.

  • by car: Follow the L 16 and B 167 via Neuruppin to Dabergötz. At Dabergötz, take the A24 in the direction of Berlin until you reach the Havelland motorway junction. Change to the A10 in the direction of Berlin. At the Oranienburg interchange, take the A111 and then continue to Berlin.


Boat rentals: At the start and end points there are several hire companies to choose from

Route: from Rheinsberg to Flecken Zechlin via Grienericksee, Lake Rheinsberger See, Lake Schlabornsee, Lake Tietzowsee, Lake Zootzensee, Lake Großer Zechliner See and Lake Schwarzer See

On-shore outings:

  • Rheinsberg: Palace and Park, Kurt Tucholsky Literature Museum
  • Zechlinerhütte: Alfred Wegener Memorial
