The popular ceramic products coming from the Hedwig Bollhagen factory have long been carried in antique shops, galleries and museums all over the world. Hedwig Bollhagen has certainly been the most significant ceramic artisan of the 20th century, even though she has never conceived herself as an artist. Her aim was to manufacture products in her factories that would predominantly be used for practical considerations and yet, they should not be any lifeless items of mass production. Every item, handmade from beginning to end, guarantees a bit of individuality.
