It is best to bring your own containers, baskets or bags for self-picking. These are weighed at the checkout and later deducted from the total weight.

Seasonal times:

The strawberry self-harvest usually starts at the end of May, beginning of June and lasts until the middle/end of July, depending on the weather.

The blueberry season lasts from the beginning of July to September.

The apple season with self-harvest and sale runs from mid-September to October.

Weather-related changes are possible! Current information and times can therefore be found in the harvest information on the website or the Facebook page.

How to get there:

The self-harvesting areas are located in Neu Vehlefanz on the streets 'Am Krämerwald' and 'Gustav-Büchsenschütz-Weg'.

By the way:

SL Gartenbau GmbH is also one of the largest chicory producers in Germany! Production has been a tradition here since 1962 - and retail chains throughout Germany are supplied with chicory from Vehlefanz.
