There is good fishing in the area of the Lehnitz lock up to Lake Lehnitzsee on both sides of the lock. For carp anglers, the bay at Stinegraben with its numerous water lily fields is especially interesting. Predatory fish anglers are less lucky: their spoils could be lurking anywhere since Lake Lehnitzsee has a very varied underwater structure. The lake is known for its very good stock of combative asp.

Fully paying members of DAV Berlin – LAV Brandenburg can fish here free of charge. The use of 2 rods and night fishing are allowed here. The night fishing permit is available if you purchase a week or month permit. This lake is managed by Landesanglerverband Brandenburg e.V. under the reference number P 14-118; the association also sells day, week and month permits.

Size: 81 hectares

Maximum depth: 12 metres

Bed: sandy

Length: 2.25 kilometres

Fish species: Eel, perch, pike, zander, catfish, tench, asp, burbot, bream, roach, rudd, white bream, gable, crucian carp, mirror carp, wild carp
