Built in the 1920s as a “tea dance” venue in the municipal park, it served as a state-run cultural venue with a function room and event catering during the GDR period. The Wöge family took over the property in 1990, gave it its historic name and rebuilt essential parts.

A new restaurant and summer terrace were built overlooking the water. At the beginning of the new millennium, a fully automatic bowling alley with four lanes was integrated into the facility. With its catering capacity, the restaurant area with 80 seats, the cocktail bar with around 50 seats, the Havel Terrace with over 100 seats and its function hall with 320 seats, the venue is the largest facility of this kind with historical character far beyond the city limits.

It offers the ideal conditions for family and company celebrations, tour group programmes, conferences, school and class events, weddings and many other events. As a sporty alternative, bowling lanes offer a popular option for celebrations and leisure activities, especially in the autumn and winter months. Due to its predestined location, directly on the waterway heading towards the Mecklenburgiche Seenplatte lake district and Berlin and on the Berlin-Copenhagen International Long Distance Cycle Route, the venue is an essential part of the tourist concept of this town on the River Havel.

The owner Gerhard Wöge has succeeded in developing the business with its multifunctional venue, combining a cultural, entertainment and conference room, coupled with a sophisticated restaurant that essentially feels connected to the Brandenburg cuisine with its wide selection of local fish and meat specialities, into a popular haunt for guests from near and far.

The “Fish & Steak” concept, ranging from freshly caught zander, trout or char to steak or roulade made from Bergsdorf beef, offers a rich selection for connoisseurs of regional products.
