You can get to the centre of Oranienburg in a few minutes on foot or by bike: here there are numerous shops, restaurants and cafés along with the tourist information centre and the oldest Baroque palace in Brandenburg with its two museums. Berlin is about thirty minutes away by regional train or S-Bahn (rapid transit train). Oranienburg is also the starting point for some wonderful bicycle tours.

With the TallyCard purchased from the ticket machine on arrival, travellers receive a Euro 1 discount on the palace park admission fee (not valid for special events).

The Schlosshafen has:
  • 82 berths with direct power supply (16 ampere) for yachts, motor boats and canoes
  • Maximum draught 1.60 m, maximum length of ship 20 metres
  • Slipway, bilge water suction system, chemical toilet emptying system
  • Fully accessible bathroom facilities
  • Washing machine and dryer
