This city walk shows the diversity of Oranienburg: on the shores of Lake Lehnitz you can discover hidden bays and breathe in the sea air. A first highlight is the view of the Lehnitzschleuse, one of the busiest locks for commercial shipping on the Oder-Havel Canal. The route passes the Sachsenhausen memorial and museum and then along the Oranienburg Canal. A detour is recommended at Oranienburg Palace and Palace Park!

Start/finish: Oranienburg railway station

Arrival and departure by public transport:

From Berlin main station, take the S1, the RE5 and the IC2270. The return journey can be chosen in the same way.

  •     Louise-Henriette-Steg
  •     Oranienburg Palace
  •     Statue "Louise Henriette
  •     Palace park entrance gate
  •     Lehnitz lock
  •     Rest area with a wonderful view of Lake Lehnitz
  •     Sunbathing lawn and LuBea harbour restaurant
  •     Destination: Oranienburg railway station
