The Brandenburg Monastery Trail connects the former Cistercian monasteries of Himmelpfort, Zehdenick and Lindow (Mark) as well as the town of Rheinsberg over a distance of about 125 kilometers and leads pilgrims along the Havel River and clay pits, wide fields, lakes and charming villages. It invites you to follow in the footsteps of the heritage of this Christian order, to rediscover nature and yourself.

Historic monastic sites as well as educational and display gardens are open to all who are interested.

The pilgrimage route also makes spiritual offers: from open churches to opportunities for conversation. At some places the pilgrim blessing is given.

Start: Fürstenberg/Havel (alternatively Zehdenick, Gransee, Lindow (Mark) or Rheinsberg)
Destination: Fürstenberg/Havel (alternatively Zehdenick, Gransee, Lindow (Mark) or Rheinsberg)
Length: 125 km

Course: Fürstenberg/Havel - Himmelpfort - Zehdenick - Gransee - Lindow (Mark) - Rheinsberg - Fürstenberg/Havel

Logo / route marker: a white fanned flower on a burgundy background with the lettering "Brandenburgischer Klosterweg".

Arrival / Departure:

Public transport: The train stations Fürstenberg/Havel and Gransee are served hourly by the RE 5 from Elsterwerder via Berlin to Rostock or Stralsund. Flixbus operates the route Leipzig - Fürstenberg/Havel - Stralsund.

The RB 54 runs to Rheinsberg or Lindow (Mark), the RB 12 to Zehdenick.

By car: Fürstenberg/Havel and Gransee have a direct connection to the Bundesstraße 96, which takes about an hour to reach Berlin.
