The village of Summt, located not far from the Berlin city limits, offers plenty of variety for hikers with its lakes and forests. Besides the nature of the Mühlenbecker Land, you can also get to know the Dammsmühle Castle with its eventful history during this hike.

Start / Finish: Summter See forest parking lot

Arrival / Departure:

Public Transport: From the station Berlin Ostkreuz with the S8 direction Birkenwerder to the S-Bahn station Mühlenbeck-Mönchmühle. From there, take bus 806 in the direction of Zühlsdorf Bahnhof and get off at Summt Secura.

Car: Leave Berlin via the A114 and the northern Berliner Ring A10 in the direction of Oranienburg / Hamburg / Rostock. From the Mühlenbeck junction continue to Summt.

Parking: parking lot Summter See

Directions: 

The Summt Forest offers uncrowded yet well-maintained hiking trails. The hike leads along forests, ponds and lakes. The highlight of the tour is the Dammsmühle Castle. The Summter Wald is mostly quiet and therefore quite dog-friendly. Lake Summter is very busy when the weather is good. If you hike on cloudy days, you can avoid the hustle and bustle at the lake.
