Nestled on a peninsula where the Ruppiner See (lake) splits off into the nature made Alten Rhin river and the enlarged Rhin rivers, in the center of the older district of Neuruppin ("New"Ruppin) known as Alt Ruppin ("Old"Ruppin), sits our family owned 3 Star Superior Hotel & Restaurant Am Alten Rhin. We are within walking distance of free protected nature reserves, extensive wander & bike trails, near access to natural swimming areas, and right next door to the boat and bike rental company 'Rhinpaddel'. The opportunities to be connected with nature year-round are endless! Neuruppin district Alt Ruppin is considered the gateway to the Ruppiner Schweiz and offers a great middle point for the exploration of one of the largest lake systems in Europe. We have 35 full comfort rooms available for use that are decorated with love in the details. There are a variety of room options from single, double, maisonette (loft-style), family-style, to larger suites to choose from. Each guest will receive a small bottle of water upon arrival, free parking (as available), and free WiFi in the restaurant and hotel room. Our guests also have the option to pay an extra cleaning fee to bring their dog family members along. The classic Preussen (Prussian) décor and comfortable surroundings mirror the cuisine served in our restaurant. Classic and creative regional specialties along with some internationally-inspired options are available to appease every taste including vegetarians and vegans. We strive and focus on serving regional and local products.

Arrival/departure

  • Check-in between 15:00 (3 pm) - 21:00 (9 pm). Check-out by 11:00 (am). Should you need to check-in past 21:00 (9:00 pm), it is imperative that you call or email us by 20:00 (8:00 pm) on the day of arrival so we are aware and can plan for you accordingly. As a free service, your hotel key will be left in our key lock box for you. You will be sent a text message or email message with the one-time use code for opening the lockbox to retrieve the key to your room.

We are located in the district of Alt-Ruppin which is a part of the city of Neuruppin. There is also another Friedrich-Engels Straße 12 in Neuruppin, so it is important to type in the Alt-Ruppin distinction to avoid any confusion. Travel by Car When coming by car, the A24 Autobahn stands as the quickest way to the hotel. There are 2 exits that can be used depending on which direction you are coming from: Coming from direction Berlin (Autobahn 24): Exit Neuruppin and follow the signs pointing to Neuruppin − Continue driving through Neuruppin on the B167 direction Rheinsberg/Löwenberg − Once you reach the district of Alt-Ruppin, the Hotel is located on the right side (diagonally across the street from the Nikolaikirche (Nikolai church) − Parking is free as available and can be found through the small entryway on the left side of the hotel Coming from direction Hamburg (Autobahn 24): Exit Neuruppin Süd and follow the signs pointing to Neuruppin − Continue driving through Neuruppin on the B167 direction Rheinsberg/Löwenberg − Once you reach the district of Alt-Ruppin, the Hotel is located on the right side (diagonally across the street from the Nikolaikirche (Nikolai church)) − Parking is free and can be found through the small entryway on the left side of the hotel Travel by Train and Bus: Please make sure when searching for your trip that the destination train station is: Neuruppin Rheinsberger Tor and the destination bus station Alt Ruppin Kirchplatz.
