The local history museum tells the history of the town with lovingly designed dioramas and a model of the town in about 1930. An infirmary room from when the building was used as a hospital and a Queen Luise salon complete the exhibition.

The neighbouring Ruppiner Tor is used for art exhibitions in summer. The Ruppiner Torturm (Ruppiner Gate Tower) and Pulverturm (Powder Tower) are open to the public; the key is available from the local history museum.

Guided tours of the town are also organised by the local history museum and can be pre-booked there. You can store your bicycle and/or bags with us while you head off on your stroll around the town (during opening hours). 

At the three exhibition locations - the local history museum, the Stadttor (Town Gate) and the Pulverturm - prehistory and ancient history, farm life and the history of crafts and everyday life in the former district of Gransee are told.
