The museum shows a selected part of the personal ceramic estate of the ceramist Hedwig Bollhagen (born 10.11.1907 in Hannover; died 08.06.2001 in Marwitz), who wrote ceramic history with her timeless tableware forms and very characteristic decorations in the HB workshops Marwitz not far from Velten. The ceramic estate comprises about 1,600 objects, mainly unique pieces, but also samples and individual pieces by HB and her artist colleagues, friends and students. It has been given to the Förderverein Ofen- und Keramikmuseum Velten e.V. as a loan for public presentation in the permanent exhibition on the upper floor of the Remise next to the kiln factory, which was specially designed for these premises and has an exhibition area of approx. 300 m2.
