The Kurt Tucholsky Literature Museum is located in Rheinsberg Castle; since its opening in 1991, it has been the only Tucholsky Museum in Germany. As a literary competence center in the north of Brandenburg, it offers literature as the basis of an intellectual exchange with a variety of exhibitions, events, publications and projects - both in the examination of past literary epochs and contemporary literature.

The museum's work focuses on collecting, preserving, researching and presenting evidence of the life and work of the writer and publicist Kurt Tucholsky. But the museum sees itself as a living museum. It aims to make an encounter with literature and its author an experience.

The Literature Museum cordially invites visitors to immerse themselves in Kurt Tucholsky's world of writing as a "reading tourist" and to get closer to the author and his time.
