The lock north of Pinnow forms part of the Oranienburg Canal. The first lock at this site was built along with the canal up until 1837. When the second lock was built in 1857, the original lock was converted into a weir. The present lock is a reconstruction from 1892.

Chamber length: 42.9 metres, chamber width: 9.5 metres, average drop height: 2.70 metres

Lock operations can only be carried out within very limited periods. The lock is not in operation from November to March. For information on exact lock operation times, please consult the website of the National Waterways and Shipping Office. Operation is the responsibility of the Eberswalde Waterways and Shipping Office.
