The Temnitz region, located between the Kyritz-Ruppin Heath heathlands and the high moors of the Rhinluch area, is both lively and relaxing. It gets its name from the small Temnitz River, which is 37 kilometres in length and meanders through the beautiful landscape.

Whether taking hikes or bicycle tours through untouched forests, past unique nature observation points in the endless wetland area or having days out to places in the Temnitz region - get to know and love the countryside and the people. In addition to the scenic attractions and leisure opportunities, the Temnitz region also offers something special for those interested in history and culture: Theodor Fontane appreciated the Temnitz countryside, which he enjoyed while roaming around on hikes. He even lived in Gottberg for some time.
