Stage 11 of the "Tour Brandenburg" covers a distance of 36 kilometres from Fürstenwalde/Spree to Beeskow. The tour runs along the Spree River at Fürstenwalde to the Kersdorf Lock. Continue along the Spree River, passing through Neubrück, before reaching the historic town centre of Beeskow.

How to get there: Take the RE1 (Cottbus) regional express train from Berlin central station to Fürstenwalde (Spree) (about 1 hour).

Return journey: Take the RB36 regional train from Beeskow to Königs Wusterhausen. From here, take the RE2 (Wittenberge) regional express train to Berlin central station (about 2 hours).

Route: Fürstenwalde (Spree), Berkenbrück, Kersdorf Lock, Neubrück (Spree), Raßmannsdorf, Beeskow

Sights:
  • Fürstenwalde: Cathedral, native animal park and municipal museum, rock garden
  • Kersdorf Lock: Information centres on the history of the Oder-Spree Canal
  • Beeskow: St. Marienkirche church, castle, Burg Beeskow regional museum, sheep farming activity world at AWO ErlebnisHof Beeskow adventure farm
