The tracks where the old Oderbruchbahn railway ran more than 100 years ago are today a beautiful cycle path that reveals the charms of the municipality of Steinhöfel, located north-east of Fürstenwalde, and the route of this tour. The hilly terminal moraine landscape with quiet waterways as well as meadows and fields have preserved their original character, thus offering very original perspectives.

Start: Fürstenwalde

Finish: Müncheberg

How to get there: Take the RE1 (Frankfurt / Oder) regional express train from Berlin central station to Fürstenwalde (about 1 hour).

Return journey: Take the RB26 regional train from Müncheberg to Berlin-Lichtenberg. From here, take the S7 (Potsdam) line on the S-Bahn (rapid transit train) to Berlin central station (about 1 hour).

Route: Fürstenwalde, Steinhöfel, Hasenfelde, Heinersdorf, Behlendorf, Müncheberg

Route description: On the way to Steinhöfel, it's worth making a detour to the milk vending station at Buchholz, where you can literally vend fresh milk. Passing through Heinersdorf and Behlendorf with its octagonal Schinkel manor house, you will cycle on to Müncheberg.
