The Heide Cycle Route connects natural landscapes with cultural heritage sites along the section between Preilack and Friedland in the Seenland Oder-Spree region. The route leads through extensive forests, open heathland and lowland areas, and runs mainly along dedicated cycle paths and quiet secondary roads.

Start / End: Preilack – Friedland

Character: mostly flat to gently undulating, close-to-nature route

Route: Preilack, Oelsen, sections of the Tour Brandenburg, Friedland

Typical features of the route include forest passages and wide views across heath landscapes. Low traffic levels make it suitable for longer cycling stages. Connections to the Tour Brandenburg expand the range of touring options.

Friedland marks the end of the route. The historic town centre with the Streleburg, as well as cafés and restaurants, offers opportunities for a break. The hand-operated ferry in Leißnitz provides access to Lake Schwielochsee and the Spree Cycle Path, opening up further routes within the Seenland Oder-Spree region.
