The German-Polish Oder River tour offers a journey through nature, history, and culture.

Start/Finish: Railway Station Square, Frankfurt (Oder)
Route: Frankfurt (Oder) - Brieskow-Finkenheerd - Aurith - Urad
Length: approx. 49 km; Duration: approx. 4 hours
Path Condition/Route Development: The route mostly runs on asphalted bike paths.

The starting point is the Frankfurt (Oder) railway station. The route goes across the city via Bahnhof- and Logenstraße, passing by the campus of the European University Viadrina, leading to the natural island of Ziegenwerder. A modern wooden bridge crosses the Old Oder, connecting to the elongated island "between two rivers". At the southern tip, the journey continues on the Oder-Neisse bike path, through the Oder meadows, the wooden playground, and the Europe Garden.

Through the rolling landscape, you reach Brieskow-Finkenheerd. Here you can find the Japanese Garden, the Linden Gallery, the Brieskow Lake with its finish tower, and the Schneider Fishery. The route continues through the Ziltendorfer lowlands, a floodplain landscape with scattered farms, reaching up to Aurith. Rest areas offer opportunities for relaxation.

By ferry (on weekends from May to September), you reach Urad on the Polish bank of the Oder. The 30-meter high observation tower provides a panoramic view of the Oder, the Oder meadows, and the hilly forest areas.
