Start/ Finish: Neuzelle Monastery

Length: 37 km, duration: 3 hours

Arrival and departure: RE1 to Frankfurt (Oder), continue with RB43 in the direction of Falkenberg to Neuzelle.

Route description:

From the resort town of Neuzelle, the tour leads along a well-maintained cycle path to Möbiskruge, where you can take a short break at the small fortified church. Then it goes on to Kobbeln. Only a few meters from the path is the largest erratic boulder in the region, which has made a long journey during the ice age. When you arrive in Treppeln, you can take a short detour to the legendary Devil's Stone. It is not far to Henzendorf and from there you can directly reach the Reicherskreuzer Heide. From a distance, you can see stones that give the impression of being strung on a string of pearls. A detour to the erratic boulder park is worthwhile. The stones tell their own story.

From here the path becomes somewhat sandy and it is recommended to leave the bike and walk. Only a few meters and you are in the middle of the heath landscape, a part of the nature park Schlaubetal. In August/ September a small purple dream blooms here, when the flowery carpet spreads.

Time for a break with a distant view. From the lookout tower you have the most beautiful view over the heath landscape and can observe the local bird life - birdwatching. The 4 km nature trail teaches a lot about the local flora and fauna.

Back to Neuzelle the tour leads through small villages, which have all kept their individuality. Here you can enjoy the village idyll and the landscapes that connect them.
