The Storkow region is home to one of the largest areas of salt marshes, which are rare throughout Europe. Visitors can walk along an 8.5-kilometer-long salt trail and learn about the natural phenomenon. An approximately 8-meter-high observation tower in the Marschallwiesen offers a beautiful view over the salt marshes, good for observing the diverse bird life. For example, cranes can be observed, but other bird species will also make an appearance.
